Cage Fish Farming
We are proposing fish farming as a strategy to improve nutrition for residents of the Kibiko area. At GCBC, we are currently constructing a demonstration fish pond to showcase the best practices in fish farming. This demo pond will serve as an educational tool for the community, illustrating the steps involved in setting up and maintaining a successful fish farming operation.
Our vision for the future is that every household in Kibiko will have its own subsistence fish pond. These ponds will not only provide a reliable source of nutritious food but also offer an opportunity for additional income generation. By embracing fish farming, we aim to enhance food security, boost local economies, and promote sustainable agricultural practices within the community.
