Bee Keeping

The GCBC has formally requested permission from the Kenya Forestry Research Institute to access Ngong Forest for the purpose of initiating a beekeeping project. This initiative aims to create employment opportunities for more than 20 local youths, providing them with valuable skills and a sustainable source of income. Additionally, the revenue generated from beekeeping will support the CBO’s various empowerment programs, enabling us to run them more efficiently and effectively.

By engaging in beekeeping, we not only promote environmental conservation but also enhance the economic stability of the community. This project will foster entrepreneurship, support local biodiversity, and contribute to the overall well-being of the area. Our collaboration with the Kenya Forestry Research Institute is a crucial step towards achieving these goals and ensuring the success of our empowerment initiatives.
